O'Summit College

Our College environment​ follows an international curriculum from Middle School when students are between the ages of 12 and 14 years.  Age groups are very important in this curriculum, as it relies on the maturity level of students when it comes to working independently and taking responsibility for their studying habits.  

The Middle school scaffolds learning to develop skills and understanding in English, Mathematics, Science, Global Perspectives and ICT.  This phase lays the foundation for the High School. 

The High School builds on the  Middle School foundation and prepares the learners for their first  international assessments.

The future

Starting in September 2020, O’Summit International College will be teaching a two-year programme for Advance Level and is achieved by age 18 or 19. 

We offer an individualised curriculum, and learners can choose to specialise in a subject area or study a range of subjects.  Six Advanced Level subjects over two years are recommended for learners who want to pursue studies locally or internationally.

One of the biggest challenges for learners is to stand out from the crowd when applying to universities and employers.  We at O’Summit help students in this regard by teaching them the life skills needed to be successful. Learners have the opportunity to develop skills by researching a topic of their choice by completing a 5000-word research project. They can choose a subject to complement one of their Advanced level subjects, or a topic that they are passionate about.

Blended Learning

To ensure that our students never miss out on a lesson and are well-organised in their learning, we follow a Blended Learning method of teaching that integrates technology and digital media with traditional instructor-led classroom activities.  This gives students more flexibility to customize their learning experience and allows for differentiated instruction, that will also help the student to pace themselves by re-watching or revising lessons in their own time.  Education is no longer just about putting pen to paper and memorizing facts. Today, innovative teaching is improving learning through technology. Our College Environment​ ensures that this happens.
